A lot of people who have less than ideal credit are looking for mobile phone plans that won’t deny them. The problem is, most of the big service providers check your credit when you apply to get a phone and service with them, and if you have bad credit, you will be denied.
No credit check cell phones provide several conveniences over typical plan coverage. You won’t get a monthly bill with any of these plans. This is because no credit check cell phone plans usually have pay-as-you-go service. This means you pay for airtime minutes prior to using them, instead of running your bill up every month. With no credit check mobiles, you can switch service providers as often as you like because you are not locked into a contract.
Cellular phone plans that don’t require a credit check are suitable for a few different types of callers. First, and most obvious, no credit check plans are suitable for those who have less than ideal credit. Second, those who use a wireless phone very little opt for these plans because they save them a lot of money.
No credit check phones are suitable for teenagers. This type of plan limits the minutes a teenager can use making it impossible for them to run up a huge bill.
Where can you purchase this type of plan? It’s available in many countries, including the United States, Europe and Canada. So if you have bad credit but still need a cell phone, no credit check mobiles are the way to go.

Engaging attendees is a vital part of a meeting’s success, so of course we were intrigued when we learned of a new interactive service that allows you to quickly and easily communicate with your attendees using two-way text messaging. You can send reminder messages, such as “Registration begins at 6:00 pm” or you can ask questions, such as “Will you be attending the dinner event this evening? 1. Yes 2. No.” Then the attendee replies with their answer.
One company, MobileFeedback.com, offers this service via a simple webpage. You create a users list that contains just a handful or thousands of cell phone numbers. You can then enter in the questions or messages that you would like to send. Click the ‘submit’ button and the message will be delivered to all of the cell phones on your list anywhere in the world! Once the message is received, and the attendee responds, the results are shown as a graph on the webpage. The service is not only easy to use and cool, but also affordable. You can send 10 messages to 100 people for about $25.

Learn what you need to know about SMS technology. Discover a new way to communicate with your family and friends. Avoid miscommunication due to technical glitches.
Short Messaging Service (SMS), otherwise known as text messaging, is a built-in feature of mobiles phones. It was originally intended to help hearing-impaired individuals to communicate and have access to cellular telephone technology.
Today, text messaging has become many things for many people. For some, it’s a polite way of communicating to someone in a meeting or who is otherwise unavailable to receive a call. For others, it is a quick alternative to email, or a fun way to chat and flirt with various people.
Texting is a noiseless way of talking to people in places where silence is strictly enforced. A girl watching a movie in a theater would just text his dad to pick her up a littler later. She will be disturbing the audience if she calls up her dad instead.
The SMS technology has several features that each frequent text user should know to be able to maximize the use of this mobile phone feature:
Validity. When a friend sends you a text and your mobile phone happens to be offline, either you ran out of batteries or just switched your phone off, your message is temporarily stored in the message center. It will be forwarded to you when your phone goes back online.
You can specify the validity period on your phone such that when the period expires, all messages in the message center that are addressed to you will not be forwarded to the recipient’s mobile number once it goes online. The default validity of mobile phone text messages is set to ‘maximum’ and this validity period is determined by your network or wireless carrier.
Submission Reports. If this feature is activated, in every text message you send, you will receive a status message at the message center. A positive submission report informs that his message has been successfully sent. Otherwise, you will receive an error message with an advice to retry sending.
Delivery Reports. You will receive a report in your inbox for every text message successfully sent. Upon receiving your text message, the recipient mobile number alerts the system of the receipt and your message center reports back to you.
Using all of these SMS features on your phone, especially the Submission and Delivery Reports might seem like a hassle but can actually be very useful features. This is especially when sending important messages.
A submission report can tell you of failed sending attempts. You might want to retry sending or try other means to reach the recipient. Delivery reports could ascertain receipt of your message. If they did not receive the message, you could again choose to resend the message or just call and leave a voicemail.
All these SMS features enhance communication and prevent misunderstanding due to a faulty network. For what it is worth, text messaging or SMS is definitely an indispensable feature that makes mobile phone technology even more useful and handy.

Text messaging can be costly and is more often the reason for exceeding cell phone plan limits than voice calling for those with families. On the other hand, text messaging can be less disruptive in some situations than voice calling and can certainly help to keep loved ones in contact. In fact, in a recent study reported by Samsung Mobile, parents and teens reportedly felt their relationship improved and communication increased when teens and parents interacted via text message. For most families however, budget concerns have to take a front seat.
In an informal survey it was found that families take a variety of approaches in controlling the cost of text messaging. At one extreme some families merely report that they don’t use text messaging and, in fact, have cell phones that don’t possess the capability of sending or receiving messages. Voice calling is their primary need and only service. Other families report that texting is used only in specific circumstances, such as when a family member needs to report only that they will be delayed in arriving home or to say “call me”. Such users also report that they have “unknown” callers blocked to avoid any unsolicited messages.
Families that had a higher usage of text messaging reported other approaches. For some, teen usage of the service was a primary concern. To cap usage, parents sometimes had teenagers accept responsibility for text messaging charges that exceed the plan limits while others made use of more restrictive plans to cap usage at predetermined levels. Such restrictions are evident in services such as AT&T Smart Limits and T-Mobile’s KidConnect which cut off text messaging once a monthly cap is reached. Any prepaid service offers such control.
In a few instances, families reported using unlimited texting plans that offer the service for a flat fee which is predictable each month. For example, Sprint offers unlimited messaging which can be added to any of their plans for $15/month. Most US cellular providers now offer unlimited calling and texting plans but are generally appropriate and economical only for those with the highest usage.
A final cost control for text messaging mentioned by some users was the use of free messaging services that can be found online. Services such as textmessage.cc and onlinetextmessage.com are examples. Such services allow users to send messages for free but in generally require the user to send the messages online versus through their cellular provider. The person receiving such messages on their phone then pay the typical fee.
Text messaging can be quick, convenient, and can certainly play an important role in keeping busy families in contact. How families control the costs of such service however is dependent upon their own needs and usage as well as their own creativity.

Currently, on Broadway, there is a magnificent show, “Spring Awakening” that has won 8 Tony Awards, and praise from all critics and theatergoers. But the really big story is about the text message promotion that is listed in the Playbill.
The flier says, “Win Your Chance to Come Backstage!” and instructs theatergoers to send the text message “bdway spring” to a five digit short code during intermission. The winner, selected at random, is sent a message in return after the show. The winner not only gets to go backstage to meet the cast, but carries with them free PR for the life of their cell phone.
Upon registering, texters receive a ring tone from a popular song in the show, and a picture from the show to use as wallpaper on their phones. Both of these, producers think, are unique conversation starters, that will serve as self-perpetuating promotion and ultimately, ticket sales.
In December 2006, there were 18.7 billion text messages sent in the US. This is nearly double the rate of 9.7 billion from the same time the previous year. This is persuasive data, but theater promoters have been wary, taking into account the horribly disruptive sound of a ringing cell phone during a performance.
“Spring Awakening” however, has the age-appropriate audience for such a promotion. The show itself is about the struggles of adolescent life and the ambiguous messages that this generation is sent by parents and by society.
Thus far, participation in the promotion has resulted in about 8.5 percent of audiences who have sent text messages in the 14 times the promotion has run. Taking into account the astounding number of text messages sent in the US, promoters see this number increasingly steadily.
The Blue Man Group, a theatrical production featuring a rock oriented musical show, has also used text messaging to promote their latest tour. The results have shown 16 percent of their audence members sent text messages in response. That figure looks much larger when you consider the group toured 60 cities, in 90 days. It works out to about 50,000 people sending a text message who attended the show, and who now how Blue Man Group somehow represented on their mobile phone.
Ringing during performances has not been a problem at this point, but it is definitely something that producers are keeping in mind. However from a marketing standpoint, the risk, they think, is worth taking.

Text messaging on mobile phones has not only opened a new avenue of communication, but has spawned a new language and a world separated not by creed or color, but by thumbs and fingers.
Text Language
Text messages are designed to be short, and those who communicate by text frequently have found ways to make messages even shorter. Abbreviations and symbols abound in text messages, and many websites have even sprung up with text and chat dictionaries to help parents and others struggling to decipher this seemingly foreign language.
Considering most mobile phone contracts have users paying per text message, it makes sense to include as much information as possible into each line. Why bother typing “You’ve got to be kidding” in a message when UGTBK will work just as well? The essential part of communication through text language is that both parties are able to “speak” it.
Thumbs and Fingers
Some theorists are beginning to investigate the possibility that children and teens in the current generation are growing up native speakers of text and chat abbreviations as well as all manners of internet functions and communications. Their parents, teachers and most other adults speak “digital” as a second language.
The distinction causes communication gaps and leaves many adults struggling to understand what their children are actually saying to friends and possibly strangers over the computer and mobile phones. Students in the classroom send rapid fire messages to each other via mobile phone during lectures or possibly even tests. The same is true of mobile savvy employees during meetings and seminars. The more text savvy a person, the more quickly and quietly they can communicate with others.
As new users struggle to learn the language of text messages, the skill in sending the message is often an indicator of their ability level. Advanced text users type messages using their thumbs. They understand shortcuts and keystrokes and can shoot off messages with dizzying speed. New, slower users pick out letters with their fingers, much like reluctant computer users.
The Future of Text Messages
Text messages have become as common as voice calls on mobile phones. Many plans automatically include text messages as part of the monthly service fee. Predominately younger users already have grasped and enjoy the freedom text messages allow, and as the “fingers” of the world evolve to “thumbs,” text messaging will become even more common in the fast paced world we live in.

I remember the days before cell phones. Remember when you needed to wait until your friend returned home from the beach, or from thier cross-town visit with Aunt Bernice?
Those days are long gone!
It seems everyone has cell phones these days. Everyone from six and seven year olds all the way to 90 year old grannies! Some of you may be shaking your heads and thinking, “What is this world coming to? We made it without cell phones, why can’t they?!?”
Guess what?
Every time you make that statement or think that thought you are wasting your time. Things are NOT going to reverse, and people won’t return those cell phones. So … accept it! :)
As business people we need to recognize the tremendous opportunity we are presented with. With the emergence of text messaging, we now have an opportunity to reach our prospective customers with messages at the exact moment they are looking to buy.
The following are five steps you can use to effectively market your business with the use of text messaging. For the purpose of this article I’ll use a restaurant as an example.
Step One – Create a Diner’s Club
Humans are born with a NEED to belong. If you look around you’ll see the most successful companies focus on this need and fill it. That’s why there are loyalty programs, frequent flyer programs, buying clubs, and an association for any possible niche in the world. The bottom line is people are natural joiners so give them a way to JOIN and become affiliated with your business.
Step Two – Create an Offer
Don’t be naive and think that just because you started a “Diner’s Club” that everyone will simply join. Keep in mind that along with emerging technology comes more information than anyone can possibly consume. This is making your customers think a bit longer about what they sign up for and if there isn’t something valuable for them, they simply won’t join.
Make sure that you specify exactly what they will get. Will they get a “buy one get one” offer, or a free desert upon joining? Will they also get a free dinner on their birthday, and a dinner for two on their anniversary? Will they get “Diner’s Club Members ONLY” special discounts throughout the month?
The what isn’t as important as the value. Your objective is to motivate them to send a text message to your special number which will automatically enroll them in your “Cell Phone Mailing List,” so make sure the offer is something you feel has a great enough value that you would sign up for it yourself.
Step Three – Advertise Your Club
Once you’ve created your club, and created an irresistible offer, it’s time to let your customers know about it. Whether you create table tents, send a mailing to your “snail mail” list, send out an email blast, or have a contest among your waitstaff where you reward the person who gains the most new members for the month. Just make sure you have a solid advertising plan to get the word out.
Step Four – Send Updates … Not SPAM
Once you’ve followed the previous three steps and have built up your membership base, it’s time to send out your updates. Make sure you don’t ruin all the hard work you’ve done by spamming your list. Make sure the updates you send out have valuable offers that are irresistible to your members.
The best way to utilize this list is to send out offers on slower days of the week. If you happen to live in a climate that has very snowy days, send out an offer where your “Club Members” receive a FREE dinner if they come in that evening. The nice thing is people don’t normally eat alone. They’ll probably bring someone with them and it may be their entire family.
Step Five – Engage Your Members
As your membership base grows it will be important to engage your members with contests, and by sending out other useful or entertaining information. Maybe it’s a joke of the week, a quote of the month, or an occasional link to a funny article you’ve read. It doesn’t really matter what it is as long as it engages and entertains your members.
They’ll appreciate it if they receive information from you that isn’t ONLY asking them to spend money.
The more technology advances, the more opportunities we’ll have to engage our customers EVERYWHERE! It’s important as business owners and marketers to stay on top of technology and take advantage of these incredible opportunities.
It doesn’t matter what type of business you have, if you use your imagination you can come up with ways to market your business with text messaging. Just be creative and you will put yourself and your company in a position to win.

Breakups can cause a bit of turmoil for the couple involved and the friends that help them through it. However, breakups are a time when most people aren’t relying on their common sense to see through the tough times. In fact, the lack of common sense that they have leads to greater problems including making the mistake of doing text message terrorism.
What is text message terrorism? Its name is what it implies. When you are desperate to talk with your ex about inane things, you’ll try every method of communication to get a hold of them. The inane things have nothing to do with what you are calling about. Be honest with yourself. You are calling to keep in touch with your ex so they will know you are still around.
Remember text message terrorism isn’t just getting a hold of your ex via text messages. It’s getting in touch with them through the phone lines, through the internet using email or instant messengers like Yahoo, MSN or Skype. Any method of contact can be construed as text message terrorism.
Do you want to get back together with your ex? If so, you have to be respectful of their wishes and not contacting them many times every single day. Constant unwanted contact is actually harassment. You don’t come across as fun and loving but desperate, needy and a little psychotic.
Text message terrorism will only send your ex further away from you. No contact is best for your situation. Think about it. If you broke up with someone, would you want to constantly have messages from them, asking you to return their calls? Remember, the breakup occurred because of a breakdown in communications. Keep this in mind as you dial your ex’s number to leave yet another message.
What can you do? First, stop what you are doing and breathe deeply. Remember that text message terrorism is not the way to win your ex’s heart so find another better way to reconnect with them. However, give yourself and your ex a period of time with no contact and see what comes of it.
