The SMS alert used to appear on the front screen, now there is only a little envelope in the upper right corner, and I have to take the (very) long route through all menus to actually get the message. A clue how to fix that anyone? I would very much like to avoid reimaging the phone as I have installed quite some extra SW.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible? I’m planning to buy a new Nokia E71 but i need to know if there’s a way how i can transfer my sms messages stored in my current NOKIA 6300.

Please be very detailed in terms of which software to use or what method to use.
